The Lost by Sarah Beth Durst. Published by Harlequin

How does anyone get lost in these days of GPS and smart phones? After a detour, Lauren finds herself trapped in a bizarre and frightening town called Lost. The town is filled with things long misplaced or thrown away, the residents are down right scary and only two of them, one a six year old girl with a knife, don’t want to kill her. Only the Missing Man can send Lauren home, but after taking one look at her he disappears, leaving her on her own.  Her only exit out of town is blocked by a perpetual dust storm. There seems to be no way to escape from this hellish place. Or is there?

A book that is so frightening on so many levels. I read this in one sitting, readers will be hooked by the end of the first page
