American ex-cop, Jack and English web designer Sarah are called in to investigate a new crime with every entry into this cozy mystery serial. This time they are exploring a series of pranks at a girls’ boarding school. At first the pranks seems like jokes, mean-spirited perhaps, but no more than that. Then a popular teacher is killed and the stakes are infinitely higher. Is there a murderer stalking the school? Jack and Sarah will have to work fast to solve the mystery before anyone else meets an untimely end. This is a likable cozy series that’s not to twee. No Nigel Pennybottoms the Third with foppish Pekineses here, thank goodness. Jack and Sarah are both smart detectives with a good sense of humor
