Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure by Nancy Atherton. Published by Viking

It’s hard to believe this is the 21st book in the Aunt Dimity series, but I guess that’s the cool thing about ghosts – they never age. In this outing American Lori Shepard finds an old garnet bracelet in the attic of her English cottage. The bracelet, which once belonged to Aunt Dimity, was the gift from a doomed love affair. Aunt Dimity wants Lori to return the bracelet, to return it to it’s rightful owner, as it were. That may be a problem. It appears the bracelet may be a lot more valuable than Lori ever suspected and if it is, it might mean Dimity’s beau was a thief. Lori has to journey through both the past and the present to return the jewelry. I love these stories, they beg to be read in front of a roaring fire with a cuppa
