Dead Dancing Women by Elizabeth Kane Buzzelli. Published by Beyond the Page

Emily Kincaid has been living in her remote cabin in the Michigan woods for several years following her divorce and the death of her father when she finds s human head in her trash can. The head belongs to an elderly woman, part of a group of older women who call themselves Women of the Moon. They worship nature and like to dance in the woods under the moon, but there have been ugly rumors in town that they are witches. Is this why the women are being murdered? Emily and the very interesting deputy Dolly investigate to try to find the answers. I loved this book. I read it in the heat of a steamy Florida summer, but I can imagine curling up with this cozy story by the fire
