Girl Number One by Jane Holland. Published by Thomas & Mercer

On the 18 year anniversary of her mother’s death, Eleanor Blackwood finds a woman’s body in the very same place while on her morning run. She sees the number 3  on the woman’s forehead. But when the police check out the scene, they find no sign of the body. Has the stress of the anniversary of her mother’s death made her a little confused, a little crazy? But then she finds a second body, this one with a number 2 on her forehead. Does this have something to do with Eleanor’s mother? And even more frighteningly, who is number 1? Who’s the killer? This mystery held more than  few surprises and kept me guessing
