Killing Jane by Stacy Green. Published by Vesuvian

Erin Price is new to the job of homicide investigator, and her career starts with a bang. A woman has been horrible mutilated, bringing to mind the sadistic crimes of Jack the Ripper. Erin, along with her partner, Todd Beckett, embark on an odyssey to find a monster before he can strike again. Erin’s lack of confidence is obvious in this story, and while I would expect any detective, experienced or not, to have a hard time with a case like this, I found Erin’s preoccupation with her looks a little off putting. I would like to see her have the chance to grow and become more confident in her role
