Egg Drop Dead by Laura Child. Published by Berkley

The Cackleberry Club is back and once again the ladies find themselves sipping tea over a murder investigation. Suzanne, on her way to purchase cheese from dairy farmer, Mike Mullins, get the shock of her life when she finds the friendly farmer murdered in her barn. Obviously, someone did not like farmer Mike, but the ladies of the Cackleberry Club did, and it;’s up to Suzanne, Tori and Petra to track down the killer. Child, who best known for her Tea Shop and Scrapbooking mysteries, doesn’t seems to be able to generate the same fan base for the Cackleberry Club mysteries. I myself enjoy them, but find that I like the settings more  in her other two series (Charleston and New Orleans). Setting can and does play a large role in these stories. Still, a fun read for fans of cozy mysteries
