Looking Up, Looking Down by Geoff Woods. Published by Endeavour

This is a charming memoir/travel narrative about Woods’s travels across Britain and his explorations of the natural world. Beginning with his childhood, progressing through his teens and adult life, this is more about the author’s travel companions, the people he meets along the way and the pubs he visits than the natural wonders he encounters. A wry, funny look at loving the outdoors, your chums and your pubs, not necessarily in that order
