Friends Carol, Benjamin, Sally, William and Theresa have a little restaurant in a lovely little town outside Monte Carlo, but making ends meet is proving difficult. Not to mention the angst Theresa is feeling about her runaway granddaughter and Sally’s encounter with some particularly nasty people from her old acting days. Between trying to make the restaurant a success and finding peace in their personal lives, the ex-pats are finding their life is nowhere near as glamorous as they imagined. I love that Imrie’s characters are mature adults, not tech obsessed twenty somethings intent on perfect bodies and all night parties
